The European UAP Task Force (EUAPTF) will write to the Presidency of the European Union this week and address the Members of Parliament directly. It is an urgent letter about how the EU and many member states still neglect the UAP issue.
The group’s spokesperson, Ezekiel Vacuo, states: “We are putting our finger on the sore spot.” In doing so, we also clearly state our non-political goals and request close cooperation in the area of UAP research with those states that have previously been viewed as rogue states due to global political events. We must learn that UAP disclosure must be a synchronized task if we do not want disclosure efforts to fizzle out again.
He acknowledges that people in many countries currently have other problems than worrying about a supposed UFO issue. However, the UFO topic is elementary if we want to understand how important it is to work together as humans rather than competing as states. At the same time, Vacuo is realistic enough to understand that people find it difficult to break away from political influence once they possess it.
Therefore, Vacuo views the process of disclosure—which he sees as enlightenment, similar to 18th-century Europe or Plato’s allegory of the cave—as a phenomenon that must come from the people themselves. A deeply philosophical question remains, however, as to whether humanity is ready to recognize its own shackles and want to cast them off; humanity as a controlled mass that perhaps enjoys being controlled?
Vacuo refers here to Étienne de La Boétie, who argued that the oppressed are often responsible for their own servitude, as rulers offer them material benefits or mere distractions (such as bread and circuses) and humans grow accustomed to the comfort of unfreedom. Or to Friedrich Nietzsche, who saw a form of self-discipline in subordination and obedience.
If we do not understand and are not able to exclude theistic, territorial, and political boundaries from the debate, the process of enlightenment will not succeed for us, which is not to say that these entities should be dissolved.
He stated that the opponent of freedom is overwhelmingly powerful and called once again for the solidarity of all people, but also added, ‘I am realist enough to understand that it is a fight against windmills. I have been pursuing this task for over two decades and it culminates in this one point, which I never wished to reach.’
